What Do You Think Thursdays with Skinny Scoop: Things to do in Disney World

In less than two days, my family, my parents, and I will be making the pilgrimage to The Happiest Place on Earth: Disney World.

It seems like the craziest time to go since Marie just started school, and Thomas will be missing his first Come Play With Me class. But this amazing opportunity came up with Harrington’s work, and we could not pass it up.

Everyone’s super excited, and so am I. . . .but it’s a lot to juggle now. So this is going to be a super short post so I can get back to laundry, packing, some more laundry, and maybe running a quick vacuum so we come home to a clean house.

Instead of a poll for this edition of What Do You Think Thursdays with Skinny Scoop, I made a list of all the things we plan on doing. Let me know if I am missing anything to make this family vacation the most magical family vacation in the history of family vacations.  Be sure to click on the list so you can see all 17 of my magical memory-making ideas.

Also, I found this list on Skinny Scoop for first timers at Disneyland. Totally helpful stuff!

Have a great day!

The Safari is awesome! Actually, all of Wild Kingdom is! Be sure to check out The Lion King show while you're there!

Leave the kids with the grandparents & spend an evening at Pleasure Island!

We enjoyed walking around Downtown Disney. We ate at the Earl of Sandwhich while there & it was excellant!

Have a great trip!

You will love Epcot. When you get off the Seas with Nemo and Friends ride, run, don't walk, to Turtle Talk with Crush. Let your kids sit up front. Seriously, one of the coolest thing your kids will see in Epcot.

As cool as Fantasmic is, seating starts 90 minutes before the show and it's a late show (9:00). If you don't have a dinner package with reserved seating (where you can get seated 30 minutes before the show) it's hard to get good seats and do with young kids after a long day at the park :(

Don't be afraid to use the FastPass. When you get to Hollywood Studios go first to Toy Story Mania and grab a Fast Pass. Next, get in the normal line and ride the ride so by the time you go through once your nearer to your Fast Pass time and you can ride again without waiting in line. Or you can ride twice in the normal line and a third time using your FastPass depending on how long the line is. You will want to ride this more than once :)

Kilimanjaro Safari is awesome. Everything in Animal Kingdom is. MUST ride Expedition Everest (adults, not kids). If one of you goes alone, use Single Rider line and go right to the front. No one in my family likes roller coasters so I'm often a single-rider, but I bypass entire lines of people including Fast Pass riders and get to the front of the line sometimes in less than 5 minutes.

You have a great list! Have a wonderful time!
